Host a table

A table is a link you share. Your people join it one at a time, each with their own name, and you see who is sitting with you.

What you need

A Moment whose page offers “Host a table”: one that seats people at tables and has a capacity.

Press “Host a table” on the Moment’s page and confirm your email, exactly as for “I’d love to come”.
You land on your table: the lowest free one, with your seat in it and a link of its own. A table of ten is you and nine guests.
Give the table a name if you like, and tick “Show this name to the people who open the link” if they may see it. Until then it is yours and the committee’s.
Press “Share the link” and send it to the people you want with you, in whatever chat you already use.
Come back to the table page, signed in, to see the first names of everyone who has joined.

If the link gets somewhere it should not, press “Get a new link” on the table page. The old link stops working at once.
Where the page states a seat price, it is the whole price, GST included, with nothing added for paying by card.
Paying for a seat is decided in principle and not built yet. Until it is, the page says what a seat costs and the committee says how to pay.

Ask you to underwrite the table. Each guest takes their own seat.
Show your guests’ names to each other unless each of them ticks that it may. Yours shows to them as the captain, first name only.
