How Rally Round works

How

1. A club is a team or an organisation with a committee: the people who run it. Anyone may start one.
2. A Moment is one thing the club puts on: a dinner, a ride, a working bee. It has a day, a venue, one sentence on why, and a page of its own on the moments host.
3. The page is a poster with a row of actions under it. Every action is participation: add it to your calendar, share it, say you would love to come, host a table. None of them is applause.
4. A post is the club saying one thing about a Moment, in one person’s name. The page shows them newest first, with an end.
5. Reading needs nothing. The first time you do something that needs to know who you are, you give a first name and an email, and confirm one link. That is the whole sign-up.

What Rally Round never does here

• Show a guest’s name in public. The page shows how many people have saved the date, never who.
• Rank, recommend, or keep you scrolling. Every list ends, and it says so.
• Count likes, views or people who follow a club. The only numbers are participation: who is coming, what was raised.
