Post an update
A post is the club saying one thing about a Moment, in your name. It goes on the page, and to the list if you say so.
What you need
- A published Moment. Publishing writes the save the date as its first post.
How
- On the Moment’s console, under “Posts”, choose the kind. Before the night: an update, tables are open, a reminder, a call for help. After it: a thank you, how it went, an update.
- Write it. Bold and italic work; a link does not. Optionally add a link to a video or a photo hosted elsewhere, with a line describing it.
- Press “Save as a draft”. Only the committee sees it here. Press “Publish”, and confirm on the sheet, when it reads right.
What happens then
- The page shows the save the date first, then the club’s posts newest first, ten at most, then an end.
- A linked video or photo is shown as a link out. Nothing from the other site runs in the page, and nothing plays by itself.
- Withdraw a post and it leaves the page and stays in the record. The save the date cannot be withdrawn; it goes when the Moment does.
- Press “Tell the list” on a published post to send it by email. The words on that page can still be edited before sending, so the email and the page can drift apart; that is a known leftover, to be closed.
What Rally Round never does here
- Schedule, pin or boost a post. What is newest is at the top, and a person presses publish.
- Count views, or show a number for cheers. Cheers show as first names.
